I don't see how a second headstock option is bad??? I like the original shape well enough but don't hate this one.

I don't play the headstock and for the most part can't see it when I'm playing. I also can't remember someone in an audience saying "boy he plays well but he'd sound better with a different headstock."
    I know, I know I'm a cranky old man.

I buy John's guitars because he makes great instruments and I really don't care that much what the headstock looks like. Having said that, I like the new headstock shape.

Also, it was something that John did for Mike Landau at his request and John has mentioned that he may offer it as an OPTION on the Classic model only. So if anyone does not like it, cool, you can still get the original Suhr headstock.

Mike has also mentioned that his Suhr sunburst Classic that they put the new neck on sounds different, fatter sound on the high B & E strings. Not sure if it's the larger headstock or just a different piece of wood, but if the larger headstock did end up sounding better, I'd go for it.

Don't personally like either headstock, but that's just my insignificant take.

I really dig his original headstock shape so as long as that is an option I cannot complain. Maybe the guy he made it for really dug it so much that he threw it out there just to see what would happen.

If you wanted a "reverse" headstock, I actually think the "Landau" headstock would look better reversed than the original reversed ....

I prefer the original but it's still way better than a Tyler headstock!

Reminds me of Snoopy, but it wouldn't prevent me from buying another Suhr.
