I ordered from George at ADM yesterday. I took him up on a blem that he had in black and he is loading the Celestion GB12H in it for me. I played the head version and the red 22 he had and was in love. I have shopped alot of amps looking at anything that approached this. Can't touch it for the money.

Hey, Richard. Any chance down the line that I could get the tolex freshened with maybe the new blonde I heard about? I hope to meet you in the store sometime and chat. I need a comprehensive lesson on amps and care/feeding.

    Later.

Hey Doodaddy, welcome to the Super 17 cult...incredible amp with lots of personalities....take time to get to know how the Volume/Tone/Gain controls interact with each other. A great place to start is: V-3:00, T-12:00, G-9:00....this is where it has the most "Goodsell" voice to it...push and pull from there.....

The new logo is PURE CLASS...with the blonde cab, it is timeless.....

I think attachments refers to soundfiles. You can post pictures by using the Insert Image button (the yellow one with a mountain range).

That is cool Richard. Since the greenbacks are on backorder I am trying to take delivery as is and regroup when the parts are in stock. I would love to freshen as you suggested. Tweed would be the coolest of all. Custom, baby! Are you at ADM this weekend at all? I am heading over at some point. Rainy cold weekend and I am itching to get my hands on the 17. Even with Jack speakers.

Richard if you need to email me the pics and I can host em for you. I'd be glad to. I'd like to see your new script logo. I'm gonna have to get by and see you one of these days.

And, speaking of pictures, sure miss the pix of the hottie were up on the website.
More importantly the amps sound amazing.

Har! That's beautiful. Maybe those certain influential persons in our Tone World should be using Puritan amps.

Here's a quick-and-dirty on how to use the mountain thingy.
First, the pic must be posted on the net somewhere, say, your website.
Right click on the pic and select "properties."
A box will pop up with something like this in the middle somewhere:
http://www.superseventeen.com/images/chassis_44.jpg (it'll just be text, not highlighted like this link)
Left click at the beginning and drag across all the way to the end (from the h of http to the g of jpg).
Once you've highlighted, right click on what you've highlighted and select "copy."
Now when you're ready to post, click the mountain thingy and hit backspace to remove the "http://" that's already in there.
Now right click in that space and select "paste."
The address of your pic will now be in the box.
Hit "OK" and your pic will be in your post.

Or screw all this and just keep making things out of tubes, which is a hell of a lot cooler and more important than posting pics.
    ;)

Hey, you're talkin' to a guy who misses recording with 2" tape and doesn't own a cellphone...I hear you loud and clear. But somehow this 54 year-old dog picked up a few comp tricks (and too much gear gas) just hanging around all these amp forums.
I'm an analog cat, too, which is why I dig my Allen brown Deluxe clone with its four knobs (volume, tone, speed, depth) and no tone stack, and am Jonesin' for the likes of a Super 17. Who needs reverb, anyway?
I've got relatives in Cumming and next time I make the seven hour drive to visit I will get down to ADM to try one out.

Am saving up as we speak...can't beat that deal. Is the greenback still the speaker of choice?

p.s. Glad to hear somebody's still using 2".

I can't believe my first thread gets highjacked for porn. Geez. Now, how about that tweed concept with the new logo? Call it a Greenwood. I used to live on that street in the Highlands. Or heck, since the thread went that way, call it Blondie for *ahem* the Clairmont Lounge maven.

I was just razzin everybody. I remember the old car tool catalogs that featured some fine young ladies. I have to say that keeping the Clairmont and using other local streets is a cool idea even if only the natives get the names. Ponce, Highland, Clairmont etc.

BTW, I put in some shameless plugs for you on the RIC forum.

Apparently I've been living under a rock as I didn't even know of the existence of GP. I only found out about it when ordering a super 17 from ADM. I did a lot of research on amps in this flavor and decided to take a gamble on this puppy - we don't get a lot of variety in small builders locally and have to rely on sound clips and harmony central etc. Just received it two days ago and fired her up and it's everything I expected and hoped for. Truly wonderful tones, very much as advertised... beautifully rich harmonic notes, almost reverb-y. With this amp and the bardens in the tele, it's all in the fingers and the guitar tone/vol controls. Very cool. I'll be trying it in a band context on wednesday so should be interesting. I'll try swapping the rect for 5Y3 too as 17 watts is still more than I need, and squishy is good.

Anyways, here's a pic of blonde #95. I'd like to see the script logo, but this one is jes fine too.
