This arrived tonight. Honeymoon or no honeymoon, this is the best playing Fender Tele I have tried to date. It has some serious Mojo. That's all I can say at this point because it has rendered me practically speechless.:rotflmao As you may have already noticed it is coming to bed with me tonight.

Whats the radius on most of the Fender Tele necks?

They vary depending on model, but my guess would be that the most common radius these days is 9.5".

Glad you like the Tele. Is the Strat OK too? :)

Thanks Tim. It's good, just not as great as the Tele. I'll send you a pm.

Man, I'm a sucker for some birdseye, and that neck is OFF THE CHARTS! Congrats on your new Tele!

P.S. If Tim found a Tele for you, you can take that to the bank (although you obviously already know this...:)).

Agreed! Tim from Morgan Music is a stand up guy to deal with. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good and fair deal.

Wow, Fender custom shop? What did that run you? Ah, nevermind... I could never afford something like that (kids). I'll stick with my G&L's and live vicariously through you

Wait, didn't you just buy a Suhr Classic T? What, did you win the lottery or something? :D

    Looks sweet, enjoy!

I wish! Just lots of trades going on behind the scenes.:YinYang

I started playing guitar again about a year ago after almost a 25 year hiatus, so I had a lot of catching up to do since I missed most of the 80s and all of the 90s. Finding TGP was great for learning about gear, but has definitely taken a nice chunk out of my wallet.

I was remembering this thread. So you traded for the Suhr? Either way, you're going to be having some fun.

Yup, I traded another guitar for the Suhr. The Suhr won't actually be in my hands for at least another week. :)

Congratulations on the Tele! If your Fender has serious Mojo wait until your the Suhr arrives, you'll be making more room in that bed. Nice flame top on the Tele, I went with a quilt for my Suhr.

I live about 70 miles Northwest of the Gulf. ;)

The guitar is a 1993 Custom Shop Tele that was a limited run of 50. It also came with a matching Strat which I haven't had a chance to properly evaluate, but it looks equally as nice. These have a Flame Maple top, heavily figured Birdseye Maple neck and Alder body with gold hardware. The COA are signed by John Page who ran the CS at the time. These were made during the early years of the shop when it had very few builders and everything was still made by hand. The quality of these instruments is top notch and even though they are 15 years old and have been played, their condition is still excellent.
