Sorry, I failed to mention the circuit is a shared 15-20a service. It appears the Hobart is 2.8Kw; which would require a dedicated/upgraded circuit.
Wolf makes a nice one, it’s no Hobart, but it can be had for under $500.
We've had a 2-slice SMEG toaster for 2 years now, and it works well so far.
Let alone keep up with slicing the avacados, ha!

I just picked up a cuisinart. Makes pretty good toast. Evenly toasted. Can't speak for the reliability just yet.

I use an oven but also have a cheap $10 toaster I like cuz it burns small parts of the bread which gives it a really cool rustic / fancy look when I toast sourdough slices In it
my so burns bread over the gas cooktop :|
