I ordered this at the end of January. While not in my hot little hand just yet, it arrived at the dealer today. Based off a guitar that was at winter NAMM this year.

Loved that guitar at NAMM and it’s awesome that you went with a Floyd.

I really like Tyler guitars, but am struggling with that finish.

    Maybe it'll grow on you.

I love the finish. Didn’t have to “grow” on me.

Love it. Reminds me of the Schecter rat rod finish. Stunning and very unique.

    Sorry, weak joke.

I thought the barn find finish is supposed to simulate growth on it or a patina, right?

As mentioned, I think Tyler's are great guitars. Congrats!

yeah, but who cares what you are 'struggling' with (or was that a weak joke, too)....

    it's his guitar not yours

Bitchin'. I've never been a guy that "doesn't get" the Tyler headstock, etc. I've been lucky enough to play a few (only 10-12, but that's enough to know....), and they are uber-cool guitars.

I dig the heck out of the finish, look, etc. Play it in good health and make some great music with it!

How are these guys ? I'm a suhr guy and I found some local sales in the 2200-2800 range for a studio elite. Probably want something more of a vintage strat but if the price is right and the quality is there...

Such a cool looking guitar - a mix of retro and kind of f'ed up that is very unique. I dig it. For the record, I have never played a Tyler but I love what they did with Fender-style headstocks - same mix of retro and glitch that makes this guitar great looking to me.

Yeah I think that one might be a mij one. They might be good deals but I just don't know anything about them or what they are worth

Someone said that the barn find was Jim’s way of commenting on the whole relic thing. I think that may be right.
