What amps company's are lined up so far? Last year I had the honor of being part of Pure 64's exhibit which was really the best amp at the show. It seems he has a lot more to show this year (Nitro, 6V6 amp, maybe a channel switcher). Come on who else is going? I never heard so many boutique amps in my life. Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!! On my third mug of coffee, sorry.

I went last year...pretty decent mix of boutique co's. The owner/designer of TopHat (Mr. Gerhard) spent a lot of time with me (over an hour) and the Club Royale to achieve some really beautiful tones. I wound up buying one a week later. A very dedicated and knowledgeable guy as were many of the other amp makers. You definitely get hands on attention to your questions.

anymore amp builders going? I hear rumor that pure 64 is going. I was in his booth last year and heard some mighty fine players. Hope to be there this year as well.
I heard the Abraxas and my second Mean Street Classic 20.
The Abraxas was just over the top. Personally the 20 watter would make a lot of people very happy as well.
    Mark where are you?

Will definitely be checking this one out. Might have to bring my own earplugs though. At the last one I went to in NJ my ears were fried within about 10 minutes of being there (even with those foam jobbies in my ears).

I went to the show last year but didn't actually "hear" any amps. Once somebody cranks it up in the room next door, all those subtle nuances you spend money for go out the door. Still, I'm going back this year, earplugs at the ready and with my own supply of coffee.

I have never been to one of these shows before and I am wondering, do you get to play the amps and gear, or just listen and watch someone else play?

There was an opportunity to play any amp I had an interest in....in fact, I don't think you could actually play all of the amps due to time constraints, as they are ALL available.

That's the point of the show. :drool

Plan on making this my first amp show. Wonder if there's any chance of Voodoo Amps or Germino showing up? I'm searching for a Super Lead clone.
