    2016 Gibson Les Paul Standard Historic R9 - thanks Dave...

    .92 at the first fret. Plays with the lowest action I have ever played in over 40 yrs...

    No that can't be, remember this is TGP, you have to turn on your Gibson H8!

    All that aside, beautiful. My experience is that I have to do fretwork to Gibsons to make them play great with silly low action less often than any other brand, including those that cost more than your R9.

    Before it was shipped I rcvd a call from the dealer asking how i wanted it set up...I said I like low action, however I can make all the adjustments myself, as long as the neck was straight. . . it arrived so perfect, I may even have to "raise the action" to facilitate bending my blue notes.
