Just received this beauty, my first 335 ever:

Beautiful guitar, plays like a dream. Loving the neck carve, slim taper but not too thin, just ideal for my taste.

Surprising bit is it came set up from CME with the pickups very low, like 4mm from the strings when depressed at the last fret. I like pickups pretty low on my LPs but not this low. This typical on these? Sounds real good but I’m about to start tinkering of course. Just thought I’d ask in case there’s some typical consensus here.

Nice guitar; congrats! Dumb question that's been on my mind as I've been GAS'ing for a 335: When they have those 'Custom Made' plates on them, does that mean the guitar is drilled and ready for a stop tailpiece should one wish to remove the Bigsby (blasphemy, I know...)?
