NGD 2003 Highway One Strat Honey Blonde

Picked this up in the Emporium last week. This guitar is super resonant and the lacquer finish is incredibly thin. Actually, it's the only one from the first couple years I have ever seen without a bunch of chips in the finish.

I love her. I put my pickguard into her with a Dimarzio Super Distortion S and 2 Kinman Woodstocks. I also have a "neck on" switch on this guard. I installed Fender locking Tuners too. This guitar is really beautiful. Set her up to float and I can literally beat the hell out of the bar and she stays in tune.

I am really enjoying this HWY1 beauty.

That was a great year for the Highway 1s IMO. I've got an '03, too, and it's my favorite strat to date.

I agree....great year. I have tried the "upgraded" ones and they don't seem to "ring" the same as mine or other old ones.
