Some of you have been following my progress on this guitar in a previous thread. My tech called yesterday around 4 and said he was done, so I scurried down there to pick it up.

It turned out better than expected, honestly. I spent some time playing it last night through my Bandmaster at low volume and through my simple recording rig (POD GX :laugh2: ), and it seems pretty versatile so far. The true test will come when I get to my main rig and play at volume with a band, but for now I can tell that it plays well and it's made of good wood.

Enough talk, on to the photos:

Nice wood! Tell me about that bridge.

It's a 2TEK

wow - nice. What's the tone like?

As you'd expect, it's LP Junior/Special meets Tele. The Korina gives it more low end and mids than a typical tele, with some extra spank from the longer scale. I tested it last night playing a wide variety of stuff, and I grinned when I switched to the bridge pickup and played "Sunshine" by Alice In Chains. Plenty of attitude from the P90s overdriven, but nice cleans too.

Congrats! Beautiful looking tele......simple, yet quite elegant. My compliments to your tech. He did a great job with that. Play it in good health!

That may be the first beautiful guitar I've seen where the most spectacular picture is the back. That's not to say that the top doesn't look good; it does. But that back shot is WOW! Enjoy.
