Ive been searching for a new guitar for about 6 months. In my mind, I wanted something that was lighter than the 7.75 lbs PRSi that I've been gigging with for the last 10+ years. Also was ok with a hard tail or trem, as long as it wasn't a Floyd. I'm not a huge fan of bolt-on necks so I was leaning toward set neck. Also I'm a rosewood guy. And this is what I end up with: It's a new Charvel Pro-Mod So Cal. It's 8.5 lbs, so there goes my light weight wish. Bolt-on maple neck with a Floyd....I suck. But I can honestly say I've rarely had those "moments" in a guitar store with a guitar. Actually picked this one off the shelf to try out an amp I was looking at. And then it was "damn, this is my guitar". My first Floyd since high school (that was a mess) so no chance I'll gig it until I get really comfortable. But I'm jacked!
