Got this last night, courtesy of two guys who run a custom shop here in Denmark. I'm really liking it so far. Great playability and all the features I've always wanted from a guitar. At this moment though, I'm thinking about having a tortoise pickguard cut for it. To my eyes it looks like it's just missing that something to tie it all together.

Very nice. Tell me about the neck pickup.

Denmark is a very cool country as well. I have enjoyed my visits.

It's a set neck. The builders told me they'll make a bolt on now, because they've gotten som great feedback from the people who've tried this one and wan't a bolt on version.

They've customwound the pickups. It's a firebird inspired pickup at around 6.5 resistance.

I have a guitar with a similar pickup combo. The p90 and mini go great together.
    Congrats. That's a beauty.

That's very nice body wood and I'd skip the pickguard unless you think you'll really tear up the finish.

I'm curious about the end of the board as it meets the neck pickup- is that part of the tenon? Did they cut the board for more than 21 frets?

HNGD! What kind of pick guard you putting on? A hollowbody/fancy les paul style pickguard that sits off the body might be cool. Just food for thought... Guitar looks great either way. I love the mini humbucker and p90 mix. Backwards Neil Young style (other way around with p90 in he neck) is cool too

Yeah, we've talked about removing the wood on the neck past the 21st fret or putting on more frets, so it doesn't look as unfinished as now.

Regarding pickguard, I was thinking something along the lines of this:
