Got this today, 1991 Custom Shop Edition Firebird I. Not my first bird, but so far my favorite. I was surprised at how well balanced this one is with the banjo tuners, stays in tune too. Been the Steinberger route before, but don't think this one will need them. Did the deal with Shelton's guitars and he was straight up to deal with. Thanks Shelton.....

That looks great! I had a 64 bird III, refin w/cracked headstock. Still a great guitar. Long gone now. Miss it. Great guitars. Enjoy

Beautiful guitar. I've been lusting over one of these for years now. Absolutely love the single pickup "esquire" vibe.
    Congrats!

Ah damn!!! I'm so jealous! I've been dying for a Firebird I for years.

    Congrats, man. That's super sick.

I want one in the worst way but.......years ago I tried a Custom Shop Cardinal Red Firebird I and you could shoot an arrow from the neck....before that I tried a sunburst Firebird I........same twist.
I'm still open to find the right one.

Love my FB 1 and FB III. Possibly the best guitar I've owned is the FB III.

I've owned both the USA and the GCS-no comparison-the CS is much better. The USAs are really good, but the GCS are spectacular. The '91 Gibson I had was better than my 2011 by a longshot.

I owned a 1990 FB Reissue - one of the very first ones out. Great guitar, but I traded it in on a new Sonic Blue CS Firebird VII a year later. They were pretty close, but the newer ones I've played aren't nearly as great.

My '90 FBV is stellar. Neck is straight and stable, and the tone is lively.

Very sweet - reminds me of early Clapton days (late cream, blind faith). I have 3 'birds (V's and III) but no I's. Hmmm. Add to list.
