Hi All,
A few months ago I started a thread about a new build I was having done by Phil Fensel over at Hoertt guitars. I wanted to document the entire build from start to finish which I think I got most of it but I figured for the actual unveiling a new thread was really needed. So just to recap I had Phil make me a Futura replica out of Korina. The guitar has a traditional set neck construction, Suhr pick ups, standard wiring and streaked macassar ebony fret board.Normally I'd go with jet black ebony but I wanted something a little different and special for this build. The neck is based off of a PRS W/T and Phil nailed it! One of the most comfortable necks I've ever played. The Suhr's are loud an aggressive, just the way I like it and the guitar balances perfectly.
