    Hi there.

Last I was at my local guitar store to look at a Telecaster, but something else caught my attention: there, at the wall, was a beautiful red semihollow guitar, that seemed to fit a not-too-tall guy like myself better than all the other semis there. The Gibson ES-339. I have been GAS'in' over it before, and now I was able to actually buy it. It is slightly used, but I can't see anything other than very few scratches on the back of the guitar - it is just beautiful.

Sorry for the pic quality: I only have my crappy HTC phone camera.

I love mine. It's the only HB guitar I have that I haven't changed the pickups in. I think the 57 classics are just right in this guitar.

    What neck? 30/60 or 50's?
    They are great guitars.

I've got an '07 in Cherry with the 30/60 neck

Very nice. I bought one on here a few weeks ago in sunburst 30/60 neck. They flat out scream. I had a 335 but, the 339 is a better fit for me. Great choise.

    Thanks to all of you.
The "screaming" quality of this guitar i brilliant - it really does scream! And I too think that the 57 classics are a great match with the construction of it. It can be jazz-esque, but as soon as you add a little grease it really grows a pair of... yeah. It has a very different sound than my LP. Some people talk about this guitar as a hybrid between a LP and a 335, but actually I don't think it sounds much like a LP. Maybe because of the different pickups in my LP and this respectively. And maybe because I havn't played any other hollowbody guitar in a band before.

It's a funny thing with the neck. I can't decide if it's slim or fat - I know it is the 60/30 neck, but it seems to fit me pretty well, eventhough it is a lot slimmer than my 58 LP reissue which has half a baseball bat for a neck.
