I have been looking for a 335 for a while now but just never found the right one. There were a few of them at a local store in Houston and this was the last one I played. Honestly, it was way more than I was looking to spend and had a bigsby which I wasn't interested in. But the moment I picked the guitar up and strummed the first chord I knew that this was going to be a forever guitar for me. It feels and sounds absolutely incredible. I can't believe Gibson hasn't made more 335's with P90s, it's a great combination. Now I have the unfortunate task of having to sell a bunch of gear to cover going way outside of my budget!

    Congrats.

The P90 + Bigsby combo is pretty sweet.

    Outside your budget, but....nice!

On the cheaper side of this spec...but a wholly awesome guitar, Reverend Manta Ray 390

Looks awesome, enjoy it! - And yes, the P90 combined with a semi-hollow body is just acoustic gold.

Thanks! It is my first guitar with P90s and I can't believe I have been missing out for so long.

that's really sweet, bound with dots, and a p90's over a center block with a wiggle stick. sign me up. I could've done without the feet though.

Curious how is the neck profile on that model?

Not sure about the dimensions, but it seems smaller than a 50s and bigger than a 60s. I find it super comfortable.

I could never pay that much money for a guitar....but that's not saying I wouldn't want to!

    Love that model.

thats an extraordinary model! honestly on the top of my 'want really bad' list.

not only is the configuration of 335 + p-90 great, but the vintage burst, bound dot inlay fingerboard really make this a stellar presentation. i really hope you dig the tone and rock that guitar!

Luckily I paid much, much less than any of the guitars listed on reverb. I think it had been sitting at the shop for a while. However, it was still more than I ever thought I would spend on a guitar!

If I get another 335 guitar, that'd be it. I wonder how many they made?

    Congratulations on a beautiful guitar!
I am still kicking myself hard for passing on one at a Gibson clinic put on at a local music store a few years back.
I had it in my hands ready to take home but felt my wife wouldn't exactly be thrilled about it.
Another guy at the clinic told me "It sounds great, you play beautifully and you can always get another wife"!!!!
You don't see these come up for sale often.
About the Bigsby, although I am not a fan, magic happens when you put those springs on a semi hollow P90 guitar top. Unbeatable!
    Rock on!

Nah , My gal is the Queen Of The Universe , and you can find another great guitar !!!
You should have called wifey pooh and told her about it... but nooooo.

Don't feel bad . A while back ( a few years) We were saving up for a new truck. I went with Mr Killowwatt to pick up his BE 100. I was wanting a 339 ,

I told him, no problem......I'll just make a call ... "Can You Drive The Mother F@#ker To Work """"
He said ,,, That did not go very well.. Me ..Nope

    Fast forward ... A CS336 is incoming .
