Just got this beauty off from a fellow TGPer (thanks venivici!).

I had rehearsal tonight and played it through my Morgan RCA35 and it KILLED! Everybody was digging the tones specially me haha

This one has the '59 neck (the fat one) which is kinda rare to see in this finish for some reason... Everything is stock, '57 classics on bridge and neck. They sound awesome!

I'm super excited! If you have questions about the guitar, fire away! :)

Enjoy the pics gang :dude

Killer score.

I've had one just like yours for a few years now - also purchased from a TGP member - and I still love it. The '59 neck is where it's at.

Mine came to me with a Tonepros TOM and Wolfetones installed. Here she is:

Nice...I picked up an Antique Red ES 339 a couple of weeks ago (30/60 neck on mine). Can't put it down, great guitar and I like the 57 pick ups.

Congrats on the new ES-339, this guitar is number one on my GAS list. More of a thin neck guy, so I will probably opt for the 30/60 neck, just blame it on loving strats too much. :)

While mine had enough flaws that I jettisoned it, its best features were the fat '59 neck and the '57 Classic humbuckers. If I could put that neck on every guitar I own, I'd be a happy man.

Nice!!! I've been considering a new Les Paul but I absolutely love the look of your 339. I need to go out and play one. Might just end up with it.

NO.

hahaha Thanks guys! I'm really having fun with this guitar. About the '59 neck, I had read a whole lot of people commenting on how fat the neck is...I think they were exaggerating a bit... I have a Les Paul Classic with the 60s slim neck and honestly, the difference is there, but not extremely drastic! I mean, I don't find myself having issues adjusting to the neck, at all...On contrary, I actually love the way it feels and if my Les Paul had that neck, that would be awesome!

I played the 30/60 neck and the 59 neck is just a little bit thicker...I preferred it since it gives the guitar more sustain and it just feels better :) I don't know...makes me wanna play more jazz and blues haha

That's awesome dude! I don't know if you have played one with the 57 classics, but how would you compare it to the Wolfetones? Which ones do you have in? Dr. Vintage?

I had 57 Classics in a ES-137 I used to own, and they sounded great.

I have a Dr. Vintage in the neck and a Marshallhead in the bridge of my 339. Compared to the 57s, I would say theyre similar in output but perhaps a little smoother. The EQ curve of the Wolfetones are shifted a tad. They have more of that old-school PAF "honk" in the midrange. I hate dumb terms like "woody" but that is honestly how I would describe them.

And I am sooo with you on the 59 carve neck. I don't have the biggest hands, but that neck is so comfortable and is such a round C that it's wonderful. I wish I could put that neck on every guitar I own.
