So after hearing all of the great clips with gold foils i decided i needed a guitar with such pickups.. I ordered it quite a while ago but told Doug to take his time and do something a bit fun..

So a few weeks a go it arrived.. blue.. pinstriped pickguard, 26.25" scale length, 2tek bridge, and Lollar gold foils.. aucostically it sound very cool, sort of banjo like but huge sustain... with amp it is amazing, very responsive and organic sounding, huge sustain.. touch sensitive.. just great..

So I made a clip, guitar straight (un-amped) inte eurorack, the into an AMAZING reverb called Erbe-VErb from make noise, and in parallel i run guitar through a sampler looper called Phonegene and out from that into a pitch shifting delay called Echophone, both modules from make nois..
This is the result, Improvised all live just recorded straight inte two channels no effects or EQ in DAW...

I have no patience for this amount of oversight.

Anders, I had to look up the devices you were talking about. Very interesting stuff - and a great collage of sounds. Well done.....

    Thanks guys...
I have not taken any "normal" pictures yet, but here is the guitar on top of my modular synth (which contains the above mentioned modules)

I never actually took pictures of the back, the back is a modified version of my starry night finish. It's "TV Black" but done with a blue burst so it fades from blue to white just like the front.

Glad you're liking this one Anders and thank you for waiting for inspiration to strike!! It's a very special instrument and I think your's is actually the very last Acadian :D

    (btw it's just Acadian: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acadians )

    Gorgeous!

Doug builds wonderful guitars, but none of them have tempted me like the Acadian. Looks like a tone monster.

    Thanks for posting the clip.

    Well....

    That's simply outstanding.

I can't imagine it gets much better than that.

Thanks.. the longer scale lenght is only notable in superior sound, it is very comfortable to play... so yes Doug should think about offering this again.. or rather you guys should try longer scale guitars.. they are great..

BTW finally found out how the change the title..
