I went to Chicago Music Exchange earlier this month after playing a show nearby the night before. Spent most of the day playing through their wall full of 335 and the likes. Tried not to look at tags for model names or price, but simply find out which model myself and the other guitar player in my band liked the most. Ended up digging a used 2011 satin cherry the best. Honestly not what I thought I would have liked, since I like the look of the flashier 335's with inlays and ornate headstocks. But I was looking for a guitar to play out with, not display. Absolutely could not argue with the feel of this one's neck, and the pups just screamed. Didn't have all the cash required that day, but this past week CME had a 15% off code that happened to work. Saw the 335 was still there and grabbed my wallet. Now it's here in my house, but I guess they recommend waiting a day to let the guitar acclimate before opening the box. Trying to occupy myself and not just stare at the box.. This is the first time I've ever seen a Shockwatch doober on a box. Good idea I suppose. Had the driver notate it was red, but we'll wait and see if that means anything. Seems very well packed, nothing moving inside there.
