I used to always lurk Destroy All Guitars, waiting for a Koll Duo Glide to pop up for sale. It seems like I always just missed-out, and so I forgot about trying to snag one — until a black one went up for sale in the Emporium. I was a shade late on that one, but it made me head back to DAG to see what they had to offer. Lo and behold, they had a freakin' Duo Glide in Fritsch Orange! :dude

They were awesome enough to pay for OVERNIGHT shipping, and she just arrived — and she's drop-dead GORGEOUS. I haven't plugged her in yet, but unplugged she has a great twang and hollow body oomph. Can't wait to do my setup and fire her up!

Wow, that guitar is stunning...and right up my alley. I need to keep my eyes open for one in the future.

I'm not one for bright paint but oh my freakin' lord. Showing my geekiness: what are the pickup surrounds made of? Saul put maple ones on my Tornado to match the top - this on his own initiative. That's the kind of guy he is.

Beautiful - those pickup surrounds really jumped out at me, too. They look perfect on that guitar.

Not sure... they're some type of plastic/epoxy material -- and the translucence looks spectacular in person. :aok

They are just the standard clear acrylic Gretsch/TV Jones pickup surrounds.

Gorgeous! The orange looks really cool on the brown couch against that blue wall. Did you do the photos?

The TV Jones was my second main attraction to this model. I'm a HUGE TV Jones fan!
