Found an amazing used deal on this swamp ash Larrivee and couldnt pass it up. Unfortunately I have to wait a few weeks due to the California waiting period on used gear, however initial impressions were such that I had to own the guitar least I forever regret not purchasing it. I have only ever owned an arch top as an acoustic and have been in the market for a dreadnaught for the past few months. It had a fantastic crisp, yet warm and articulate tone with punchy bass and a pleasing high end that was free of harshness. I dig the aesthetics and unique look, I have never seen another guitar that looks like it. Why is swamp ash rarely used on acoustic instruments? It sounds excellent and is extremely lightweight. Here is a picture of the same model

Why does Larrivee make so many interesting guitars at the 03 level? It certainly looks great, and I'm a huge Larrivee fan. I hope all goes well on the legal front and your wait passes quickly!

I have had a Larrivee OM-03 Zebrawood for several years. It is one of the best acoustics I have ever owned, and I have had more than my share of high end instruments. I hope you enjoy your guitar as much as I have loved mine. It looks great!

I've never seen a swamp ash acoustic, didn't even know such a thing existed. I had a PRS SAS electric guitar and enjoyed it. I love the look.

Perhaps you could add some sound clips once you have your guitar in your hands?

    Congratulation and enjoy!

IIRC these were favorably reviewed on the Larrivee Forum.

    Very Nice!

I am smitten with this guitar. Here is a song I wrote and recorded with the new Swamp Ash Larrivee.
