Well after about a year of sniffin around I finally pulled the trigger on a 2004 R8 in washed cherry.
It took sooooooo long cause I had to find one in town so I could play it first. Now there where plenty of new ones around but... I did'nt want to spend the coin on a new one.Let me just say IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!!!!!!!!!
This guitar has one of the best necks I ever felt. It's big and fat and the fretts don't have a sharp edge on them.She weighs on the bathroom scale about 8lbs but... I think she weighs more around the 8.5-8.75 range.
As far as sound... it sounds great the neck pickup has no muddieness at all & the bridge has a real nice bite without being to bright. Also the neck vibrates like crazy when played unplugged & she seems very resonate.
I have'nt bought a new guitar in over 3 years so I am pretty stoked. I been channeling Peter Green all weekend.Cosmetically she is in very nice shape she has some pretty good buckle rash on the back but the guys over at Guitars ETC. were able to buff most of them out. I would also like to thank Louis & Todd for some great customer service at Guitars ETC.
