I've been jonesing for one of these for awhile and I really wanted a blue one. Well, I played 4 of them at GC the other day along with a nighthawk, LP Special Pro and 2 SG Special HH's. This one really spoke to me. It looked, sounded and felt better than anything else I touched. I just had to have it.

I just have to add that every single Gibson I played was excellent. Since I've been playing Gibsons (Apr '11) I have yet to pick up a dud with a quality issue - and as you'll see in the following pics, I don't own expensive ones. With all the Gibson hate out there, I thought it would be nice to give some love ;)

    Here's a couple snaps:

I have a '11 just like it.. rosewood board, maple cap.. yummy! Wanted blue or brown, but my faded cherry was also the best one on the wall.

really nice pics you have, can I ask what camera you use ?

I always love LP Studio, I tried Traditional and Classic, never love them, the neck of Studio is so comfortable for me, I look one 50s tribute with humbucker now

I recently got a blue one and it is awesome. Perfect setup right out of the box. Beautiful wood too.

I had a Faded Studio that I sold as part of a deal to pick up the PRS Singlecut I play now. I have nothing but good things to say about that guitar. The faded Les Pauls that I've played have all been great.

I must say I was not crazy about the faded cherry color (actually didn't play it the first time in the store). But it was the pick of the litter, and the color has now grown on me. Finish on the neck is wearing very nicely.

I like my LP Studio Faded Maple Cap better than other LPs I owned & sold that cost several times as much. The Studio Faded has all the guts & none of the glitz. It plays, feels and sounds better than the 2 Standard Pluses I have owned.

I played the new guitar at band practice last night and it ripped! It's amazing how a guitar that sounds really good can sound just amazing in a band setting. We're a blues and classic rock trio and this new guitar just works really well for the stuff we're doing... best tone I've ever had for Funk #49! ;)
