Just when I was getting ready to buy a Gibson Standard Traditional Pro II from GC, I found this over the weekend on Craigslist. It's a 2010 Les Paul Standard Traditional. The original owner had a SD Duncan Distortion dropped in the bridge, but luckily the guitar came with the stock 57 Super Classic. The seller had it listed for $1400, I offered $1200 and he said yes and agreed to meet me at a half-way mark. Around 5 that morning he texted me and told me that he had a gig that Saturday evening and he really wanted to buy this new guitar from GC to play at the gig that night, and told me that if I drove the 2 hours to where he lived then he would give me the guitar for $1,000. I don't know a lot about this LP model, but it plays well and I think I made out pretty good.

For now I'm going to re install the original bridge pickup, but I would like to eventually install a PAF-ish style pup in her, any suggestion

Very nice! Love that colour, both the front and back. You got a sweet deal.

I have a 2011 Traditional that is a killer guitar. Enjoy! :beer

You people and your Gibson Les Pauls! :p

Not my cup of tea, but HNGD nonetheless. Once you come to your senses, you'll make a killing on the resale. Until then, enjoy!

I normally don't like the teardrop bursts, but that's a nice one.

    Nice work.

Thanks guys for all the props, what is a teardrop burst? I have never heard that term before. Also who makes a PAF pup for the bridge that is not overpriced? I know SD has the 59, but I would like to try something different than an SD any suggestions?

Wow great deal you got there. I just picked up a 2014 LP traditional myself, but not at the deal you got. I'd have driven 2 hours for that deal. Congrats

Yeah, the pictures really don't do it justice. As far as the neck carve, it's the Gibson 60's profile, which means it's alot slimmer than the neck profile on some of the Gibson's out there. The weight on the guitar is pretty decent, it has tons of tone and sustain.
I just read the product link from Gibson about this guitar, and apparently my bridge pickup is a Burstbucker 3. From all the reviews I have been reading online, everyone is stating the pickup supposed to be a 57 classic super. Can anyone clear up this confusion for me?

There should be a sticker on the back of your pickup telling you what kind it is like this.
