NGD: Lush Strat

My long time friend/builder/tech guy who does all the set-up/tweaks on my guitars recently built me a Strat when I sold my one and only custom made Performance Guitar Strat that I had for about 25-30 years to a buddy who has wanted it forever.

Let me say I'm not much of a Strat guy but it's always nice to have one. This guitar is awesome. It's pretty much everything I would want from a Strat style guitar. Plays like butter and sounds great. Has very good single coils sound but can fatten up to be almost like a humbucker with the EMG David Gilmour set-up.

The paint work is what I would call the "kitchen sink". I stole the name from a buddy since the paint job has so much going on. Many layers of different custom paint and techniques.

EMG old stock? Not sure, I did buy these used here on TGP. David Gilmour setup. I dig it.

Thanks. Yes I painted it and yes it changes color depending on lighting and viewing angle.

Thanks again. Readers Digest....Black, transparent flip flop/colorchange paint and a very limited special pearl flake and then clearcoat. Very expensive paint materials to say the least.
