Just got this 00028 Eric Clapton Signature earlier this morning and I am SO impressed. I have always heard Martin did a bang-up job on this guitar, and now I know that is true. The build is flawless, the woods are Premium Grade just as they say and the playability and sound are outstanding. The modified V neck is so comfortable. This little guitar has huge projection and balance and surprising headroom for a small bodied guitar. I love short scale acoustics. This is a 2009 with not a mark on it! I traded a Taylor 714ce for it. Never like Taylor guitars, but got the 714 in a trade knowing I could flip it for something I really wanted. The bet paid off!!

The Baggs M1 Active is way cool. Not the pickup for a fingerstyle purist, but as a primary electric player I love the sound.

Played it for about 3 hours last night. I have owned alot of nice acoustic guitars over the years, but for me this one "takes the cake." The balance across the tonal spectrum is damn near perfect, amazing projection for a small guitar, and the neck is very comfortable.

A spruce top 000 is definitely next on my list. Gorgeous guitar, man. Enjoy it!

I would say ya can't lose offing a Taylor for a Martin 000-28.

Congrats - a Martin 000-28 is one of the few guitars I always keep an eye open for.

Great trade up! Now you need to work on your blues.
