    Hey all,

After scouring around for over a year, I have managed to secure myself a really nice Gibson Les Paul Gold Top - specifically a Bonamassa LP. Yes, I am a big fan but it has been near impossible to get one of his sig guitars here in Australia.

As far as I know, this is about the only one of his sig guitars in this country. It feels magnificent, and sounds killer. I am very happy with this one. As per JB's wishes with anyone who owns one of his sig guitars, this one isn't going to be a 'case queen' and will be played frequently - even at gigs...

A big thanks to TGP member dukew, who made this dream possible, and was very patient with a bank induced payment delay... :aok

Congrats, love it. I'm a little biased though, I have # 069 ......AND the same guitar in Bonamassa Burst from Wildwood Guitars ( # 015) . It just feels right, a perfect bonding ... enjoy it !

Thank you for all the kind words everyone - I appreciate it.

This is a very beautiful guitar, and it feels and sounds great too. First time I have played the Burstbucker pickups and I am a fan. The guitar just feels so comfortable. I was initially a bit nervous about the big neck, but it does feel natural - I guess all those yeas of playing classical guitar paid off! ;)

Ha - congrats on having TWO JB sig models... :aok Mine is #129 by the way...

I thought we might get the Epi's here in Australia, but they sold out pretty much before hitting the stores. Although I have seen a couple of his Epi's for sale here in the Emporium...

Second hand, I've seen them sell for around $3400 - $4000 in the US. In Europe, I've seen them sell for ~$5000 second hand. One shop in London even had a 2nd hand one listed for $6000 !

I think they are just Custom Shop Aged...Of the 300 built, only around 20 were unaged, the rest were beat up to look like Joe's gig guitar...

Thanks, although this isn't actually my FIRST LP - I have a '75 LP Deluxe that was my first REAL guitar I bought back in 1981. I have wanted a Gold Top LP with proper humbuckers for years, and recently became a big fan of Joe B so for the past year, I narrowed down my search for one of his Gold sig models.

They're very very hard to find, what with only 300 of them out there, and most owners not wanting to part with them... :)
