NGD (she's "topless")

Well, what my wife calls a headless guitar. LOL!

Thanks to Oz and Chris for this Forshage Orion.

I've had this for nearly 2 weeks now, and can't put it down (well, when I get the time, that is!). Just an awesome guitar.

This was an unexpected purchase for me, since I recently bought Chris's 7-string, and have another commissioned Orion on the way. (So, yeah... the rest of my non-headless collection is going to have to be sold, because I can't see myself using them anymore. Yes, honestly.)

Well, suffice it to say that the guitar is a real treat. Very comfortable and easy to play, and it sounds wonderful.

Oz posted some pictures in his thread, but here's a direct link to the specifications:

And here's the eye candy:

Congrats on your new ergo! Looks great! Love his work and they're so comfortable to play.
I can't wait for my hollow ergo from Chris this year.

Forshage's guitars are killer! Congrats!
Indeed! Mine is the most comfortable guitar I own to play. The neck is perfect for me too. The most surprising thing to me is just how great it sounds! No tone was sacrificed or compromised for the ergonomic benefits.

Enjoy your fantastic Forshage!!!

She's a real beaut!

I absolutely love my Orion.

I can't imagine going back to another archtop or semihollow for jazz again.

Exactly. This is actually my third (had to sell a lot of other really nice guitars...). Chris's personal 7 string hollowbody is awesome, and I love my walnut P90 solidbody.

And, I have a tremolo Orion on the way.

When it's all said and done, I will only own headless ergonomic guitars, and have a truly consolidated collection (that I will use regularly). Never expected that.

Thanks again guys.

Hoping for an ergonomic nylon string someday. (See Roger Placer's steel string acoustic Forshage ergo.)

It'll be a hollow Orion, black limba body and neck, claro walnut top, rosewood fingerboard(?), 1 11/16 nut width, traditional nut with Chris's headless extension, 24.75 scale length, neck pickup only.
Still got a ways to go but will definitely do a thread on it!

Super cool guitar! I've always loved how elegant the transition looks at the neck joint on his guitars.

Congrats! :dude

Absolutely. That's a huge selling point. It helps to make me use proper technique, which is good. In general, the guitar improves my technique (sitting position and hand position).

One of my favorite things about this particular Orion is the tone pot. It's completely useable, even turned all the way down.

I so rarely use the tone control on most guitars; except, my American Deluxe Strat which has Kinman pickups with the K9 switching system. It uses a special, active tone control that gives a wide range of sounds. That's the reason I had been using that guitar so often. Plus, Kinmans are a very effective noiseless solution.

I love the sound of the Bare Knuckle Mules, but I've been spoiled with Kinmans (Lace Alumitones too, previously).

Super cool guitar! I've always loved how elegant the transition looks at the neck joint on his guitars.

Congrats! :dude
