Also, “My Guitar was taken out of the unscathed delivery box, and when I opened the guitar case/bag, the guitar was in perfect condition. Plus the seller left me a free Taco Bell gift card worth $25 and two free movie tickets.”

In the last 8 years I've lived in 3 houses all within 10 mi of each other presumably on different UPS routes or possibly on the same route.

I have yet to receive a guitar (or amp or bit of kit) before 4 pm. I do, however, receive relatively unimportant packages earlier in the day. Someone up there doesn't like me.

It only adds fuel to my longstanding burning question: 'If the trucks roll out of the depot at 7 AM or even earlier who is magically getting their items first or early in the day?'

See also: cable/internet techs, plumbers and other tradesmen. On the other hand, I can go to the local mega-gas station and rely on seeing 8-10 contractor/utility trucks parked in the lot with their drivers smoking, eating, using phones/tablets, etc.

Hang on, you say, there are varying levels of shipment priority for which people pay handsomely and they are delivered first. Fair enough - but I would think the finely-tuned routing procedures (eg UPS trucks try to avoid making left turns whenever possible) would at least give me a random chance of, say, a 1 pm delivery.

I think USPS lost the strings I ordered. First the package was to be delivered on the 26th. Then the 25th ( knew this wasn't gonna happen because that is Christmas) then back to the 26th. Didn't come on the 26th. Now there is no delivery date listed at all.

Does EC know you have his guitar. ;)

Congrats and enjoy. Love NGD. Especially when it's a groovy Strat.

"New guitar came, was free, played it for a bit and Bill Gates was walking by my house, popped in and said my playing changed his life and gave me all his money since he had just finished creating the cure for cancer and every other illness. Also for whatever reason all of the Miss Universe girls started calling me asking for dates. Disney also just announced they would remake the new SW trilogy with George Lucas.

Congrats on a sweet Strat! Love when the Wildwood box shows up at the door.

Did you your Wildwood T-shirt too?

Thanks everyone, it is a really sweet guitar, I just dialed it in to my liking this morning over coffee, that action was a bit high for me, I like a little neck slap when I dig in.

I'm not really a Strat guy but I love the ergonomics of a Strat, and I love my NoCaster so this seemed to be a logical choice for a Strat for me. Ash/Maple and this awesome 54 U neck, the worn finish feels incredible.
The neck, the frets and the 10" radius are a really nice combination.

Kudos to the guys at Wildwood, this is the 2nd guitar I have purchased from them and they are always impressive and a pleasure to deal with.
