I got this awesome guitar when I went to Paul Gilbert's guitar escape camp in Big Indian, New York. Paul gave away one of his guitars and he actually pulled my name. I was super shocked I won the guitar. It plays really well; it has a neck similar to a Les Paul. It is beefy but still very fast. The DiMarizos are very bright sounding, but if you roll the tone knob back they darken up. Overall it is a very awesome guitar. I even got Paul to sign it for me.

That's awesome! I've been wanting to try one, as I'm a big fan of Paul and his lessons. I've got a Strat and an old RG770DX to cover that kind of stuff, but the Fireman looks pretty versatile, and original too.

Congrats on the score (and getting to meet PG!).

Man, I love the look and the overall vibe of the Fireman, but I picked one up in a Guitar Center a few months back and the neck felt absolutely HUGE to me. It just felt very foreign and out of place on a guitar with the Ibanez name on the headstock :p

Paul sure makes it sound awesome, though :aok

These really are quite cool in my opinion, but then, I really dig V's Explorers and Firebirds too. Fireman shape could definitely allure me as well. PG seemingly being such a nice guy helps to. Big congrats!

Very cool, besides the fact that you got it directly from Paul it's a killer guitar. I've had my eye on one for a while now.
