Although my new guitar day was one week ago.. I just have to share =)

It is a beautiful Gibson ES-335 2008 Dot Reissue. I really like the sound of the neck pickup. Very warm sounding, nice jazzy tones. The middle position is also very good, it reminds me a bit of Chet Atkins when using fingerpicking.

The guitar shines at clean sounds. For overdriven sounds I have to experiment a bit with various dirt pedals.

    Nice!

Last time I checked, we over here in the Effects Pedals section use guitars also, so I see no issue with this thread being here...it certainly beats another thread asking for clean boost recommendations...

Well, that's not how we do it here. Forum's stay to topic. Feel free to venture out of the effects section and broaden your horizons. :D

    Moved to guiitar section.

    Nice ES!

More power to you! I don't think I have ever played anything that even resembles the mastery of Chet Atkins!!

Nice guitar and lovely pictures. Sounds like you're not loving the bridge pickup much? Does yours have Classic 57s? With some experimenting on heights and pole pieces I think they can sound pretty damn good.

Some of my favorite 335 bridge overdriven tone are
    a) tone rolled down to 6-7
    b) middle position with bridge on 10 and neck on 7-8

    Have fun with it.

Oh, by the way, I've enjoyed the following ODs a lot with my 335: Klon, Telenordia TA-24, Okko Diablo, Fetto...

What are you trying with it so far?

Yes, I have the stock classic 57s in it. At the moment the bridge pickup is a bit quieter than the neck pickup, I have to adjust the height of the pickup. When it is nearer to the strings it should have more highs, which I would like.

I love the clean sound so far. For overdriven sounds I've tried the Catalinbread DLS and the Barber Small Fry. While this combination worked really good with my strat, I have yet to figure out how to use them best with the 335.

With the strat I used the DLS for a slightly overdriven sound, but with the 335 I can't get there cause there already too much gain, even when the gain knob is set very low.

The Small Fry sounds good with the 335 but has a bit too much bass, experimenting with the internal controls for bass should hopefully fix it..

At the moment I also have the Bearfoot Tourbox with the Dyna Red, Model H and Honey Beest.. as you can imagine I'm a bit overwhelmed with a new guitar and 5 drive pedals to mess with :D

I have tried the Okko Diablo in the past and it didn't work out with my amp (Hughes & Kettner Edition Tube). The sound was harsh and the note decay was too fizzy. When I bought the 335 I played it through an Okko Twin Sonic in my amp and that combination sounded very good!

In my experience you might want to consider raising the individual pole pieces for more highs on the bridge position. First the whole pickup to balance volume and then the pole pieces for the highs.

Ha! You're a lucky man with all those toys and a long weekend to play with them :)
My money is on the Beest - should sound just great and you can tweak the high nicely.
The TwinSonic is a lovely pedal! Very natural OD. In fact, I think it lives in the Diablo's shadow as most people know the Diablo better. The Twin is on my wish -list!
