DGTCrazy came over last week and played his DGT. It gave me a bad case of GAS. Up to that point I had not found HB pickups that I liked in a solid body guitar, and I've tried for many years. The pickups in the DGT are sublime, and are so good that I would like to get another set to install in one of my semi-hollows.

Anyway, here's mine which just arrived. I've stayed away from PRS in general because I don't really like pretty flame tops. I like solid colors, especially black, dark blue, and lake placid blue. I lucked out and found a black one to my liking, so here it is:

AHHHHH so much GAS. I actually emailed Bruce from Wildwood today asking if he's getting any more goldtops w/ birds in stock soon. So close to pulling the trigger on one.

Fantastic guitar! I had the same experience with humbucker guitars....the DGT really changed my attitude.

Yes, the DGT pickups are quite special.
I bought a used set a few years ago to drop into my '97 McCarty.

    Congrats on the DGT.
That all black looks really classy.
    Enjoy.

that PRS doesn't make it in a single cut. I love my SC 245 (57/08's), but would love the DGT tones in it!

HNGD!!! Congrats, that guitar sure looks mean. Could it do some "metal" somewhere along the lines of Ozzy/Metallica/Iron Maiden? The pickups seems to be really versatile from clips that I heard, however there is none that shows it in a "metal" context. For blues and classic rock, I think it sounds awesome though.

*I could seem the DGT being my nxt guitar though and this just fuels my G.A.S.*

Kind of like a P-90. The bridge pup when split can do a good imitation of a tele. There's a volume drop so the amp will have to be tweaked to compensate for that which is ok because I like the tone of the HBs more with the guitar volume rolled back a little and the tone with the coils split is better with the guitar volume turned up.

I'm sure it could. It would depend on the amp.
