I re-acquired my Suhr Standard in a guitar swap with a good buddy of mine. I had sold this guitar ten years ago as I had an opportunity of a lifetime to go out to Los Angeles and record with Bryan Carlstrom (engineer on my two favorite Alice In Chains albums Facelift and Dirt in addition to producing/engineering albums by Anthrax, The Offspring, Social Distortion, etc), David Huff (drummer for Giant and producer in his own right) as well as work with a bunch of folks on an album including the likes of Dan Huff, Josh Freese, DJ Ashba, DJ Lethal and Beck's dad (scored and conducted all orchestral parts) as well as recording using the guitar and amps that were on Alice In Chains "Dirt". As much as it hurt to sell this guitar at the time, I am over the moon excited to have it back! Selling this guitar helped me accomplish this so for that I am eternally grateful! My good friend took care of it for ten years and put lots of mojo into it. It's still a great guitar, albeit with different pickups in it than what I had in it when I let it go so I may have to change them back to what I had in there previously (Wagner Fillmores). I will give these Aldrich's a chance for a bit though because I know they are great pickups as well.

Here are a couple of the songs we recorded out in LA at Tranzformer and Ocean studios:

Cool story, sounds like you’ve lived quite a life. Glad you got your guitar back. I did that twice (acquiring an old guitar of mine) but had to buy it again in my case.

    Enjoy in good health!

So that's you playing on both tracks? The lead singer sounds like the guy from Breaking Benjamin, but it's Lance Edward?

Anyway, it's really cool you got your old guitar back! :aok

Yeah, that is Lance. He went by the name Angel Dean back in the day. On the track called "Angel" I'm doing all the guitars other than the lead. On Clumsy Monkey, I am playing all rhythm, all slide lead and all bass. DJ Ashba is playing the wah type lead licks and the second half of the main lead.

I am glad you got your guitar back. I had a suhr as well that I had to sell, unfortunately, and I saw it posted on TGP not once but twice!! The second time around I contacted the guy, and had the funds to buy it. However, he was asking more for what I paid for the guitar originally?!??!!??! New?!?!?!? Oh well...
