Happy new guitar day for me.

A Republic, as in Republica de Tejas, Highway 61. 7201 14 fret.

This is a smaller bodied and thus smaller coned resonator. The sound has a little less lows, as such. However, the pickup is pretty meaty.

It gets great sympathetic resonance.

Intonation was great out of the box. The action was set for slide playing which I do little of. I also thought the saddle wood was a little soft, and I had a graphtech blank handy, so I filed down a new saddle.

Custom strap I had made with a naked silver painted woman. I thought that was appropriate for a chrome-looking guitar.

Here it is mic'd with 2 Golden Age FC4s in parallel.

Here is run thru an Egnater Tweaker on U.S. setting and Rebel Cab Mic'd with an sm57. Reverb is in the box, Overloud Springage.

The pickup is a single coil lace.

Only other effects are mild compression and limiting.

I played the first things that popped in my head so dont judge my performance plz. and excuse the slightly out of tune spots, I had just changed strings.

Yeah. It was definitely part of the draw to the Republic models. While I don't consider a cutaway a must for acoustics, since I tend to play less up the neck acoustic style, knowing I'd get a magnetic pickup for this I figured it could save me some live song switches that way.
