He has done a Single Cut with a Mann trem.
Soon to be a Show your Shishkov thread
Absolutely stunning, what are the specs ?
Gibson scale and the fattest neck profile Mike was willing to carve.
Dang, I gotta check one of these out!
I don't think I ever made a NGD post for 0033, and I'm never one to miss a party.
I'm still working mine daily since picking it up December 1st.
Gorgeous guitar! I love the red!
Is that oxblood?
Yep, oxblood opaque top, dark natural (brown transparent) on back.
HNGD! Sweet guitar; I hope you have many long and happy years together.
I have never heard of this guy but I’m going out on a limb and say he used to work for Hamer. I see a lot of similarities between his stuff and that company’s guitars.
Yes. Mike was a master builder at Hamer for years, one of the last few left when FMIC shelved the Hamer brand. He’s been on his own since mid 2014.
There is a Shishkov sub-forum at www.hamerfanclub.com where you can see 70+ completed instruments and a bunch of stuff in progress. Mine is in the finish room now. Already contemplating a second order.
This guitar reminds me of the old USA Hamers. By the way what kind of input jack is that? Ive never seen one without a hex nut on it before.
Mike used to work for Hamer.
It's a Tele-style jack.
That makes a lot of sense that he used to work for Hamer. That was the first thing I thought of when I saw this guitar!
It's an Electrosocket jack.
Those jacks look foolproof and very high quality. How do they compare with the original Gibson Style jacks?
