Havent had a new one in a few years, i almost forgot how much fun it is to have a new guitar!

American Stratocaster HH, Olympic White, love it love it love it. Great neck, not quite as nice as my Japanese Pawn Shop 51 but still damn nice.

    Great playing and sounding guitar.

How do the pickups sound? Vintage-y or overwound? I really liked my blacktop tele except the pickups were way too hot.

I have a shell pink American Standard set up like that. When the HH AS Strats came out last year I was going to buy a loaded pickguard as soon as I saw one pop up. A couple of months ago I got tired of waiting and had an online vender build me a parchment HH pickguard with nickel covered pups. Pearly gates in the bridge and a '59 neck pup.

The 59 is probably my favorite neck pickup.

Cool Strato'. I really like the covered humbuckers; it meshes nicely with the chrome jack and bridge and the white finish/maple combo. Classy. Happy NGD.

Gorgeous. How do those sounds split? My Les Paul came with stock splittable pickups, and the splits are pretty worthless, esp compared to just picking up a guitar with single coils!

From what I've read online I don't believe there are any split sounds on that new model, which to me is a drawback.

Yeah I just read the same thing. Hm, I guess that's good and bad. I've never really met a split humbucker I liked.

If I didn't have a Les Paul, I'd maybe get one of these!

Very nice. I love the look of white on white with chrome. Congrats!
