2017 Fender Limited Edition George Harrison Tele. by t92780 t92780, on Flickr
Finnish checking is coolest! Last process in Ruokangas guitars!
This is the real deal, a 1969.
This is not a thread crap, Larry David bought a cool tele. I just finally wanted to post this shot.
are they heavy?
It's a new Fender with a polyurethane finish. Should not finish check.
That's a little extreme, given the roaring fireplace.
I'm with you on the stare down step by step but when it comes time to open the case, I don't look directly at it, I unlatch it and fan the case a couple of times to mix the outside air with the air in the case, close it still not looking, then fan it again one more time for good measure! Then I open the case and cradle her in my arms!
Beautiful Tele you have there. I'm a George Harrison fan so thanks for sharing! Enjoy!
Nice Tele! I want to get one of those some day...
I have a case from 1970 that looks just like yours - this is what's in mine:
I'm its second owner - the case and guitar still have a bit of stale cigarette smell from the first owner who spent much of his life as a pro musician and played in a lot of smoke-filled bars and clubs back in the day. This one got a lot of use, but his #1 was a 1963 Strat. I like the stale cigarette smell - it's sort of like "honest play wear".
Mine is 7lbs 13oz. Chambered, but some units can still push mid to high 8 pounds.
ah chambered .... the origs weren't tho were they?
Not chambered and likely 10 plus lbs.
I want one so bad.
I like bamboo cabinets...
Sweet -- I dig a nice Tele that looks like it was made from a coffee table.
You're a nasty man!
(In a good way! That guitar is badass!)
Is it Rosewood?
