NGD! Warmoth LP

Already posted this on the Unofficial Warmoth forum, so I'm sorry if you're seeing this one twice. But I'm still so damned excited to finally have this one all together! And I've gotta say, it plays better than any Gibson I've tried. It might not sound like a big all-mahogany LP (mine has no mahogany at all), but it does sound great! Its been in the works for a long time, but totally worth it.

Body: Black korina body with a two piece maple cap
thin one piece maple veneer

Neck: maple neck with ebony fretboard
ebony peghead veneer

Pickups: SD '59 neck in the bridge and a Seth Lover neck model in the neck. The 59 sounds really good in the bridge, despite it being designed for the neck position. Great balance between these two pickups. A wiring kit from RS Guitarworks.

Pictures!

Couldn't be happier! Like the Warmoth addict that I am I had already started to plan my next build, but now I don't know what the hell I want! This thing covers a whole lot of bases. Looks like my next purchase better be an amp to keep up!

Also, the finish really changes depending on the angle and the light. I'll try to get out my real camera and get some decent shots sometime soon, but it's sunny for the first time in a few days, so I decided I'd better get some pictures now. Hope you enjoy!

Nice. I know many will frown at the idea of a bolt-on LP but I really like it.

I was contemplating a Warmoth LP body for an old Roland neck I have. But the price after hardware and electronics has me looking at a Carvin CS instead.

Is that a one piece top? It looks great. I bet that little sculpting at the neck-body joint on the back of the guitar makes it much easier to play in the upper ranges than on a standard LP.

Nice! My first nice guitar was a Gibson Invader, a bolt on Les paul. I loved that thing. I got so much **** from people about how it was bolt on. They shut up once they played it. It was a great guitar

Congrats!

I have multiple high end guitars. To this day my favorite is a Warmoth hollow strat w/ Lindy Fralin hots.

Gorgeous. Congrats on a fantastic job! Hope you enjoy it as much as I like my Warmoth tele. Did you do the finish on the body, or did you let them do it?

Beautiful guitar. Love the pu combination. I'm waiting patiently for a used LP so I can have a very similar setup. Enjoy.

A member on the Unofficial Warmoth forum actually did the finish for me. I think he did a great job!

They make great products! Like anything involving parts-guitars it's really only as good as it's assembled. Which I think can scare a lot of people away
