1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

    Hi,
Can you fill me in on this? I never heard of this before. I'm pretty sure I would like to attend but I have no idea of what this is. Is this like a guitar show? (buy, sell, trade).

Where in Kenilworth? Any info would be appreciated. It sounds like it could be fun. :)

I have done this 3 times already! this will be the 4th! It started out as just Homebrew amp builders mostly! It has gotten bigger (read:more people) each time. Last time we had about 60 people over the course of the day! Lot's of equipment! Homebrew stuff, Boutique amps and whatever you decide to bring (No one is required to bring anything).
It will be held from 12 noon until about 6pm. I have guys coming from Massachusetts and upstate NY. I think one guy is coming in from Cali. He has family local so he will visit them and hang with us on Saturday. There may be some others coming in from Kentucky. Don't know if they can swing it but they were trying last I heard! It's not really a guitar show although if you want to bring something and put it on display that's fine. It's not a swap meet there will be no vendors per se` or tables set up! It's just kind of like a party where you can bring some gear and check out everyone else's gear! I started doing it because I wanted to gain gear knowledge. I used to read about all this gear and wanted to hear it for myself. This is the easiest way to hear it without having to buy it! :D

Last time we had a Hiwatt 100 watt clone there and it is an experience I will not soon forget. Greg Levy was there with his Snider NJ, Jimmy Somma and the guys from Louis Electric were there! I'm not sure if they will attend this time but who knows!

It's basically a way to sample a lot of gear and meet a lot of the guys we converse with here!

We usually end up taking a collection and ordering Pizza for lunch but that's not mandatory! Only if you want to eat with us!:D

Kenilworth is exit 138 on the Garden State Parkway!

It's an industrial warehouse! NO NOISE RESTRICTIONS! Last year we had a db meter and we had a 100 watt Marshall and a 100 watt Hiwatt there. The Hiwatt took top volume honors with 126db at 6 feet away! Don't get the wrong idea we don't do that the whole time we're there but there are no noise police like at guitar shows. Bring ear plugs! :D

Might be a good time for me to show up in Joisey.
Especially if Trisonic is going. What about Fuchs and Lerner and ....Hansoloist- is he married yet?
Did I miss the SteveK jam this summer or did he give up on that?
    I marked my calendar.
Fuchs SLX50 and a Jim Kelly FACS (hernia time).

Well the wife says I can go .. not sure what I'd bring .. A Holland amp for sure besides that I guess my Maven Peal Zeeta (need to fix a bad soldering point somewhere).
Guitars ... I guess I should bring the Langcaster and I'll see if I can still carry something else after all that.
