Is just me, or does anyone else see Bikini in the title of the thread every so often coming into this forum, and get their hopes up, only to have them hopelessly dashed on the rocks below...?

    I know the feeling.
    I miss it.
    It was fun.

On a sports forum that I moderate we have a "Tired of Politics" thread. It's our version of the bikini thread, hidden so the title won't alarm anyone.

It's not the title that's the problem. It's where the pictures linked in the threads are hosted.

half the cheesecake shots that were posted, were linked from black listed porn sites.
That got TGP black listed on several servers as well.
It's not just the 'well don't open it from work' people want to throw about, it's how TGP is percieved on ISPs and it could eventually get to the point where it doesn't get through safety filters on home software etc.

Lots of reason, bottom line is, it's a no go now.

    Weird.

I quoted Mike's post to elaborate and got a lot more text than was in the original...

Edit: Must be timing. He's editing while I'm quoting. :jo

All of what I got in the quote is now in the original...

I was just going to add that some of the corporate censor bots add TGP to the blacklists if there are links to blacklisted sites...

I'm on a car forum that has a members only section with some spicy non-porn pics. About 31,000 posts combined in the top two threads ;) so no need for it here.

As long as we still have guitar and food porn, I'm good!

This change has been in place for over 2 months.
Rule is done, change is made, go elsewhere for the cheesecake stuff.

Discussion has ran it's course, and is just rehashing the argument at this point.
