No one's ever used a string bender better than this.

Jon C, I got a photo like that. No Marty in the shot, but it was taken on his bus. Yep, he's proud of that guitar and loves to share it.

I just had to go back and listen again! There's something about that track that just captures the joy of playing music and gee-tar.

    Hmmmm....I'm not hearing that.

Where are you hearing Marty do that?

I'm not sure even Marty would quibble with that... he's pretty open and free about his not "owning" "Clarence", he's just the trustee/taking care of it for the time being, and making sure it (and Clarence White's legacy) is known, seen, heard, shared, and preserved.

Definitely. The guy who originally owned the guitar unfortunately didn't have the time to develop as far as Marty has.

No doubt he plays the hell out of that Telecaster, but he might be even better on mandolin.

I agree. He's a fine guitarist but he's a world class, all-time mando player, a child prodigy on the instrument. Amazing musician.

I saw Marty host the Opry from the Ryman a couple of years ago. It was great fun! He is amazing on guitar. I wish I could play like that!

Marty Stewart is really a great one. Makes me wonder why he is not more widely known - probably because he has stayed true to his country roots.

This is an homage to "Nashville West". I grew up on The Byrds Untitled album. Saw Marty and "Clarence" a few years ago @ The Ark, and finally got a peek at "Clarence " in the flesh. It was a religious experience. If only Dad could see this. RIP.

That string bender is Jerry and no gadgets! Well, maybe Inspector Gadget.

Love Marty. Of all of the rock shows I have been to in my life, to see Marty live was better than them all. He and Kenny are two of the best guitarists on the planet!
