I have a Bass VI partscaster coming my way that takes strat pickups. I need noiseless ones since my place is an electrical humming nightmare. Which set of 3 strat pickups would you suggest to bring out that nice clear tic-tac sound from a Bass VI, that wouldn't get muddy or fart out on the lower registers, yet still give enough oomph for some modulated madness by The Cure? Thanks!

i've heard emg strat pickups sound great in things like old musicmaster basses. crystal clear, no hum, and a nice balance of bass and treble.

nah, don't buy emg passives. the real things are all active, all noiseless, and worth it for what they do.

If you like EMG's but you want to go passive, you could try Lace Sensors.
