Noodling around with a Japanese 62' Strat and a condenser mic hanging around in the room.

If you guys are interested i'll post what I used and maybe you'll be surprised!

    Thanks for checking out!

Thanks! I'm using Lumpy's Tone Shop Class A Germanium OD, Catalinbread Belle Epoch, and TC HOF --- all into a stock Fender Blues Junior.

Strat bridge tone rolled down to about 6-7 gets the OD reacting nicely

Very nice. Not surprised! That's the ticket! Are you setting the BJ clean or somewhat overdriven? I find it's not too difficult to get 90% of the EJ tone with a recipe if bridge PU with the tone rolled off into a decent overdrive into an overdriven tube amp (pref. not blackface or too scooped) with the amp set not too trebley and throw in some tape type echo, a little reverb and a teensy bit of chorus and you're mostly there.

The BJ was clean and bright sparkly. The OD came from the Class A Ge Overdrive unique saturation circuit. Check out Lumpy's stuff
