Not so much 'guess the amp' as 'check out these ludicrous sounds'...

Anyone who has heard my playing will instantly recognise it... Mainly by the frequency of the mistakes: the right notes, not necessarily in the right order.

But here I thought I'd share the fruits of last week's rehearsal, because I used some different gear. This time, it's so you can, should you so wish, hear the Hughes & Kettner GrandMeister (the bloke you can see with the Tele) and the little Deluxe of mine (1x12, G12H, one channel BF, one a bit more tweed), and how they sound in a band context.

Plenty of pedals in evidence this time. Points for guessing!

Guitar is my Guild Bluebird (with SH-1 Humbuckers). Room is not loud at all, really. The Deluxe has a PPIMV, and the channels are around half, with the MV around 1/3.

At some stage soon, I'll try to do a bit of sound sampling of all the amps at the studio, as a sort library for folk interested in the things I've got (or got access to).

It's working for me, but that could be for any number of reasons.

    Here's the 'raw' link:
    'Apologies for the Delay'

    And another go at embedding...

That 'organ' sound is indeed EHX: the POG2, with all the sliders on it. The bottom (-2) octave really stresses out your speakers, and the +2 can go about 'munchkin', but it's a great out-there effect. I haven't used it as much as I might because the other guitarist does occasionally play keys, so we get some of that dimension from there. And of course, the internal effects on his GrandMeister mean I often stick to more basic guitar sounds to hold the music together.

cool tune - the two guitars (and tones) complement each other nicely.
big :aok for the rhythm section remaining static and monotonous for most of the song - that really adds power and suspense in this arrangement. !
there will be other places where they can get creative.
    great job, folks !
