    Hey folks..

I am planning to get a modulation effect..either Tc or Eventide one..

    Any comment on these two?

Can Nova Modulator/Modfactor be powered with PP2?

I can't speak to the Modfactor. But, I just put a Modulator on the board and am very happy with it so far. The only disappointment I have is there isn't a really good vibe sound. Great pedal though.

don't buy the ModFactor sight-unseen. I did and was very disappointed, particularly with the chorus algorithms.

the consensus on the Modfactor is that the Chorus sucks, the phase is marginal, and the other effects are pretty good. Lots of praise for the vibe and undulator.

so if you have a separate chorus, or don't use chorus, it would be a decent choice.

I have the Mod Factor and love it. I don't however use chorus very much so I'm not as picky as some who use it more frequently. I love the fact of MIDI and USB on this pedal which makes it a blast to use in the studio. It also has plenty of banks to save for live stuff. I've started taking it on all my International trips and it works great! That means I can leave my chorus, vibe, ring mod, phase ect. at home. Definitely check one out before you decide.

I've got a Modfactor and really dig it. The trem, vibrato, rotary, and flanger are top notch. The chorus is, imho, really good but not up to the level of these others. I've got good univibe sounds out of it tweaking the phaser and even got a killer octavia patch out of the ringmod. VERY versatile and once you learn your way around it (doesn't take long) it's easy to tweak.
