I've read about Menatone pedals for years, but never tried one. Today I got a newer, small box Blue Collar in a trade and I gotta say, this box is perfect for what I wanted. I've been through a few dozen TS pedals over the years, but with the Blue Collar I can adjust the gain and presence knobs and my strat, tele and P90 Les Paul all sound great through it. I've always found prior mid range overdrives to not play well with one of my guitars, not now. This little box is just what I wanted.

It stacks well too. I've got my Lovepedal OD 11 set as a fattening boost and it sounds great following the Blue Collar.

I'm a happy picker tonight.

I have owned a few Blue Collars and I have to say that if someone is in the market for a tube screamer but with a little more hair on it the Blue Collar is a viable alternative. Great pedal.

Great amount of gain available and the presence knob is simply ingenious.
I just didn't like how the gain sort of muddled up when stacking dirt pedals? Sold it off, MIJ SD-1 remained. But that presence knob is REALLY something!

the blue collar is great! it's like a TS through an old cranked plexi - in one pedal. and yeah, that presence knob will ruin you for other TS's; it's particularly killer with strats and teles.

The Blue Collar is one I traded for, sold off and have regretted that decision ever since. It's voiced just right for the kind of low gain drive I like, and stacked quite well with TIM.

I have an older big-box BCOD. It has the presence knob. Mine has about the same amount of gain as your typical TS. It does sound really nice, but I seem to like my Analogman TS-9 Brown Mod better.

Just had to bump this. I got an EP Booster and have it prior to the Blue Collar, holy cow does this work well and getting that fat, chewy Zen like gain on the tele bridge pup. I have the BC gain set around 11 o'clock and presence up to 1 o'clock, so using the volume knob on my strat and tele, I have a great flexibility in amounts of gain. The EP is set at 11 o'clock- this pedal is just so freaking cool on it's own with my tele...sorta like the perfect sweetener to a pure tele tone.
