My Jester arrived about 3 hours ago and... wow. All the TGP raves about this piece of gear are spot-on. Best tone investment I've made in a long time. I'll gig it next week and take it on tour at the end of February. My amps love this thing. I'm running a Vibro King and a Valvetrain 427 - both of which are about to begin a torrid affair with the Kingsley Jester. Thanks, TGP, for making me aware of this device.

Congrats on finding a pedal you truly enjoy. :) In this market - as high quality as it is, it's increasingly become pretty difficult cuz of how many pedals there are to search through.

The Jester is such a ridiculously good pedal. I found it difficult to believe such glowing reviews until I got one. It really delivered the goods. Still the most natural sounding overdrive I've played. Very versatile as well.

Congratulations on the Jester! :)

Congratulations on your new Jester! I'd also like to hear your review after you've played it a while.

Hopefully, as more folks try out Kingsley pedals, they'll consider the leap of faith in buying one of his amps down the line. Just incredible amps and sound just like the clips on the Kingsley site. Of course, Simon's playing could make about any amp sound great. I'm debating between a Jester and Ministrel as a "third drive channel" to my Kingsley Tone Baron. Or maybe a Minstrel with one of the new Kingsley boosts coming out. So many great options.

So good I have two! It's the only overdrive I own, everything else is from the preamp of the amplifier. Only thing I bought to add is a Lunar Module Deluxe as the Jester doesn't do fuzz. Otherwise, this is it, I am done.

I have a Jester & a Jouster(only keep 1 on the board) & just this week got the LMMD. I am still tweaking the LM, any tips?

Mine isn't here yet. I sold a Sunface and Peppermint fuzz because i got sick of temperature, wah, and placement issues. I wanted something not so picky, hopefully this will do it.

I have a Jouster and have seriously been considering picking up a Jester. I've been using a Cold Fusion as a low gain lead boost with some mids and a DIY germanium boost for a more transparent, mostly clean lead boost. I figure the Jester could replace both. I have my Jouster set up for dirty rhythm and mid gain, singing lead tones.

I have just recently swapped from using the Jester to the Jouster. I wan't really using the boost function & with the Jouster I have Channel 1 set up for crunch & Ch2 a higher gain that I use in a couple of songs I need palm muting in. I a/b'd the Jester & Jouster & found I could get the same tone I was using with the Jester even with just the 1 tone control.I have been using a Fulldrive to boost in front but am experimenting now with a Tim after & Lunar Module & Brownie in front.

It all sounds good :aok

I use a smallsound/bigsound Feck OD after my minstrel as an 'always on' light compressor/clean boost. I run the minstrel as my light OD and a Fetto C'luxe into the Minstrel as my chunky sound and often my lead tone.

Gigged with these a bunch and can say the minstrel makes my whole rig sound 100x better than it did before. Makes all my other pedals sound better. The Fetto/Minstrel combo is just... Astonishing.

Congrats and welcome to the club! I'm finding the Green Rhino stacks beautifully with the Jester. Looking forward to his smaller tube boost pedals.

I had an absolute blast playing last night with the Jester (holy moly - that sounds like a bad euphemism) at rehearsal and can't wait to gig with it. I'll post some thoughts and hopefully a clip post-show.

As someone who was on the fence about buying one (I suspected it was overhyped), I can assure any other gunshy potential Minstrel buyers that it's truly amazing and musical. Yes it takes up a lot of space, but it's going to knock a pedal or three off your board, so it all evens out.

This was my first major TGP-inspired "leap of faith" purchase (yes, I consider $400 a major purchase - especially for a pedal) and I couldn't be more satisfied.

Stoked to be in the Jester club!

Yep. I've had the Minstrel less than 24 hours and am already scheming about how to get a Kingsley amp.
