Could just be the keyboard and most laptop keyboards are cheap and easy to replace.

I tried a different approach,I went out for lunch and over to a buddy's to check out his new turntable.
    It's working fine now .
Must have been the BLT,or maybe the onion rings.

Ah, yes, the "I have a windows headache and I'm going to walk away from this computer before I break it" approach...that always works for me. By any chance, did you restart it or shut it down and then turn it back on? That fixes a lot of problems with any brand computer...

I tried that a couple of times before I even posted here.
When I went for lunch I just closed the thing up without shutting down and it goes to sleep or whatever.
I opened it up again a few hours later and it was all good .

If it is after an update, then hit a system restore point and then go to the HP website to check for updates for your model.

According to the other thread it is a windows problem. Get an Apple product and sail the sunny seas.

I have a Macbook Pro. Old one. Sometimes different letters or numbers won't work. A good hit with canned air works every time.
