NYC area luthiers for a neck shave and refin?

Anyone have any recos for a NYC area luther for a neck shave and neck refin on a Les Paul? I have a setup guy who is amazing but he's not set up for this kind of work. I also do not want to ship this thing. Aside from the cost, shipping these things is a PITA for everyone involved, IMO.

I have always found that Rudy's can do just about anything on the many many guitars that I have brought in to them. Have you tried them? If they can't, they can probably point you to someone they work with who can do it.

If you're willing to take a quick drive from the city, I highly recommend Doug Proper at the Guitar Specialist.

He's up in Golden's Bridge - in Westchester County. Depending upon traffic, it's about an hour's drive from the upper west side.
Doug is top notch. He's not cheap but not outrageously expensive. He's done work for tons of pros and is a great guy as well. He's also incredibly honest. When I was there a few weeks ago, a guy brought in a 1973 Gibson acoustic that needed a ton of work. As he started to go through all of the details it needed, he pulled out a couple of price guides and let the customer know that the repairs would exceed the value of the guitar. The customer went forward with the repairs, but it was nice seeing Doug do that.

Evan Gluck doesn't do refinishing. Says so right on his website.

I already have a tech I am more than happy with, but he's not set up for refinishing either.

Neither 30th St or Norio do refins. I've asked both for recommendations and neither knew of anyone in NYC that does refins.
