OCD or Sparkle Drive!

I'm having a sincere gain problem. I can't seem to decide what would be better for my setup given the guitar and amp. I like the tone of both of these pedals but I find the OCD can get a little bit muddy.

I'm currently using a TS9 for my low/mid gain, I would use an OCD/Sparkle drive for my higher mid/high gain and add a EP booster at the beginning for more gain. I am using a telecaster with single coil ups and will be owning a fender deluxe reverb by next month. Would the ocd sound worse through my setup? Would the Sparkle be better? Thoughts?!

I like the sound of both and they are fitting to my budget. Plus they are available in my area. Not many pedals that get suggested to me are available where I live.

Looking at your sig, you already have a TS. The Sparkle would be redundant.

A TS and OCD combo is a great thing. Get the OCD.

I'd mainly use the clean boost to get a higher stage of gain and then the EP booster for more gain after that. I mainly play rythm.

What other pedals would you suggest?

Barber Direct Drive or Cmat Signa Drive. I'd choose either of those over the other two all day. Ditto the Xotic BB. Surf the emporium here - I know some people don't ship to Canada, but you're looking for pedals that are always on sale.

I checked the signa drive, sounds great! I may consider that one for my mid/high gain. What about the brownie?

All the Cmat pedals are great and smoking deals. He and Barber offer the best bang for the buck.

I like the fuzziness of the Sparkle Drive with a Fender amp.
Be careful with OD's when using a Tele& a Deluxe Reverb. Many can reult in very brash tones.
TS types work really well.
Believe it or not, the Fulltone Fulldrive can also sound very good when tweaked right.

I think the OCD works best at low gain settings , and it gets muddy at high gain settings .
the fulltone plimsoul would be better at high gain settings.

The sparkle drive sounds more like a low gain drive to my ears (thus the clean knob) and the same with the OCD. If you're looking for high gain setting I'd say look at a different pedal.
